Has any one had any success installing an aftermarket rear backup camera and integrating it into the existing PCM 2.1 dash? I cant seem to find any info on it. The dealer ship sent the head unit has to be sent out to NavTV to get reprogrammed for the camera and it would be $1500. I find that hard to believe.

Yes it can. I did it. Here is a current thread in the Cayenne forum. NavTv sells the interface.

Even with the Cayenne kit that you got, did it end up getting around that price after you factor in labor and all?

Check with NavTv.com
I think they make it for a 997. The interface I believe is about $600-700. The camera, it depends on how fancy. There is an integrated Cayenne rear hatch camera integrated with the rear hatch switch that is about $600-700 too. But there are some other companies too like jemkosystems.com where the camera is about $120.
I did the work myself, but considering time etc, its not too far fetched to pay $1500 if using a nice integrated camera.
