New Wheels and Tires: MPSS on Champion RS 129's
I've been looking for some light weight forged five spoke wheels to replace my Carrera Classics. I picked these up from an RL sponsor polarporsche - thanks Yuri. Just got my car back from the p-dealer. She's now wearing MPSS on a set of Champion RS 129's. These are 19X8.5 ET 53 19.8 lbs (front) and 19X11.5 ET 62 21.2 lbs (rear). Besides being lighter they are also slightly wider than my Classics but still within standard Porsche spec's for the '08 C2S at 8.5"(front) and 11.5"(rear). I like five spokes wheels as they have enough space/room to allow for easy brake bleeding w/o having to dismount the wheels. Cleaning is also easy... I can get a cleaning cloth back in between the spokes. Now I just need to figure out how to keep those polished lips clean. If anyone has insight... please share. TIA

Very Nice!! I always used Mothers for my Polished Aluminum, it works great and leaves a wax like finish that detracts dust/dirt.
They look Great by the way!!!!!!!!
I have 2 sets of stock wheels, I have been thinking of selling both and getting a Forged set as well.

Thanks folks... I'm enjoying the exterior look of the car. Almost feels like a new car after the refresh.
BTW I tried a set of TPMS sensors from OEWheels. I purchased the $184 set which referenced the Porsche TPMS p/n. They seem to be working well and sync'd up after ~6-7 miles of driving w/o issue. Now what to do the original Carrera Classics sodded with PZeros. They're currently stored up in my attic but I'm torn between trying to sell the old set or just keep them for DE's I hope to undertake this season. I believe the PZeros may be better for track use plus I won't risk the new Champions. I've been told that although the Champions are light... that their extended lips can be delicate.

The rain has just cleared up here so I plan to get her out for some spirited driving through the hill country tomorrow... hope to get an assessment of any benefit then.
I'm just starting with some DE's for now.

Those do look nice. You will have to change your avatar now. I hope people dont see the tow truck at the dealership as a sign of things to come. At least it was a boxter on board.
