Dead fuel pump
I had my 16 and 12 year old nephews in town last week so I took them for a spirited drive in the GTS. As we were driving home I could tell that the car was not feeling well. It was sputtering slightly and just felt unhealthy. The next morning the car would start, sputter and die. After a few attempts it started but I got the "reduced engine power" warning. I turned the car off and called the dealer. He suggested having it towed (under warranty). It turns out that the fuel pump had given up the ghost. It's pretty surprising at only 28k miles, but I guess it happens?
While they had it I asked him to look at the rattling rear view mirror and whistling driver side mirror. They found a loose clip inside the rear view mirror which was causing the rattle and re-sealed the section of the driver side mirror that connects to the triangle. No more rattle and I don't think it whistles anymore, although I haven't really tested that yet.
It's good to have the car back.
