Ugh! If you didn't need to swap I'd be there today! I'm worried that I'd be in the same boat as you- wishing I could go back.

My car is a non-S, but I believe the mufflers are for the S car. I have the S tips installed.

It's highly unlikely that you have S mufflers on a non S, you most likely have adapters that allow the S tips to fit your non S sized exhausts. The S exhausts on 997.1s are wider in diameter then non S.

If I were you, I wouldn't let that stop me from jumping on this...it would be alot easier for you to find someone to switch back with than to run into another set for $250 (+ swap).

I agree. Sometimes I think about it but then I picture myself ripping through a quiet canyon and that extra volume giving away my intentions just a little more.

You should order them here http://fdmotorsports.net/fister-exhaust-997-one, I don't think the wait for S cars is as long as the base cars.

I just absolutely love my gundo from fister. Second best mod I have done next to a new steering wheel.
I just love the gargling first thing in the morning while she idles down, the howl at 6000 RPM when you give her the business, and the absolutely ridiculous noise when in a tunnel or underpass.

PSE would obviously be ideal, but at over $3K, it's a major expense.

Racer X, if you're local and want to hear my exhaust to help you make up your mind about the Gundo, definitely contact me. Chances are that you'll love it.

I would be interested in meeting up for a swap. I am about 2 hrs away, we could meet in the middle. Check your email and private message box for my contact info.

Still available.

Unfortunately the last couple of inquiries were for 997.2 cars. My mufflers are for 997.1.

fastm3: you might regret changing back The Fister exhaust was probably one of the single best mods I did to my 997. The burbly throaty exhaust note makes the driving experience so much more engaging!

You're probably right SPDR. I'm afraid of the same thing.

I am going to hear someone's PSE today. I figure it will sound similar to your fisters. After I hear I'll let you know!

just got the fister mod done yesterday at fd motorsports...darin took great care of me, had me out in three hours (i wanted the mod done to my existing exhaust, instead of the quicker exchange), and the drive home was just *droool*.

Got to drive a PSE equipped C4S, sounded great! It did convince me, however, to keep my stock cans in case I want to go back to quiet. If this were my weekend car it would be a no brainier, but I drive mine daily and worry that the extra noise may eventually wear on me. I do want to purchase some fisters, but don't want to give up the stock mufflers that you would need. Sorry!
