9500ci here, love the install and shifters. You would never know there was one installed and it works great.

I have the 9500xi and a hard-wired setup in my BMW and 911 and it works well. Would like the MAX I think IF they added GPS feature and after a few reports from users. Agree?

Valentine for me...built like a tank! I travel for my job and drive around 35,000 a year between my personal car and rentals. My V1 is all over the place with me. You just can't beat the direction arrows!

I have used both the valentine and the escort 9500. The valentine has too many false alarms. The escort is far superior. The valentine is stuck in the 80,s...or whatever.

Valentine 1. Obviously I haven't ridden with all those who claim too many false alarms, but I suspect it is their failure to read instructions. I run my V-1 in "Full Logic" mode and don't have any problem with so called false alarms.

Actually the false alarms aren't really false anyway. It is a radar detector not a policeman detector, and it is unequaled in detecting radar IMHO.

Rob,

The GPS feature IS in the MAX. In the Escort link you provided, read the paragraph titled AutoLearn: Artificial Intelligence Protection

Another tidbit - Mr. Valentine was at one time an engineer/designer at escort/passport, then he left to build his own superior detector (V1).
Either way, you're likely buying something he's been involved with.

I have a V1 and while I like the arrows I can't stand how many false alarms there are. It's a PITA, especially the new Audi's and Infiniti's which have the radar proximity devices. Do the Escorts have the same issues? For reference I'm running it with partial filters, not full logic. I'll give the full logic a try to see if that helps without affecting its sensitivity.

I run my V1 in Full Logic in town, but I did re-activate back X band since it appears it has a come back with some departments, not that many false alarms in X band or Ka, some false alarms from Cobra users on K band and as you mentioned, verrryy annoying ***Laser*** false alarms from Infinities's.
