Default Clutch advice wanted!

I have just under 50,000 and I believe it's time for a new clutch. Its harder to put the car into gear and twice yesterday on the highway under acceleration the tach revved without the corresponding power going to the wheels.

mine broke a couple years ago ("finger" defect, not from abuse) and i went with OEM parts on advice from my local, highly respected indy. no need for anything else unless you race/really want to abuse it. and also on advice from them, no need to touch RMS unless there is already a problem. (altho, the indy did say if it were the other way around - needing to fix a leaky RMS - and the mileage was high, a clutch might be worth consideration, as a clutch will "probably go sooner or later, but if an RMS isnt leaking, it probably never will".)

Thanks!! I do track the car, just DE's now, but will likely move up in the ranks to solo and then open tracking. I wonder how much more benefit a heavy duty clutch will provide? And, what the drawbacks to a racing clutch are? That's good news on the rear main seal. I'll have hin look, but I have no drips.

What year? If it has the retrofittable IMS bearing, most of the labor is already being done when you replace the clutch.

Get OEM, either from Porsche or Sachs kit (OEM).

While you're in there, change RMS and IMS seals... I am not sure how much the parts cost, but the cost is always in the labour.

It's an '07, so the IMS is in the crank case.

I've read where some mechanics advocate pulling the seal off the non-removable IMS bearing so it gets lubed by engine oil.
