I have a 2003 model fabspeed header that I purchased used. I used new FABSPEED gaskets which are a little thicker. I torqued my BRAND NEW exhaust head bolts in an alternating sequence and made sure they were tight, but not overly so.no torque wrench. Brought the car to temp twice while on the jack stands, and rechecked the bolts.all were still tight.7 months later and two DE events at Sebring and no problems with a header back fabspeed system.

Sometimes the threads on the studs are corroded or disfigured, and this will cause an incorrect (i.e not enough) torque to be applied to the stud. That is the only explanation I can see in this scenario.

Vivid Racing gave me a refund and I purchased a different brand of headers. Never heard from Fabspeed, the headers I couldn't get to seal are sitting in my garage.

I guess since Fabspeed doesn't want them back I will make a coffee table out of them or something.
