997.2 Targa 4S - She woke up !!! (Sharkwerks bypass + Gundo hack)
Dear friends,
This week, I had a little car surgery: I did the 2" Gundo hack on my 997.2 Targa 4S, in combination with the Sharkwerks primary muffler bypass.
For those in doubt, I can only recommend, a serious improvement
As written by others, sounds like the car woke up 
No drone at all.
I did the modifications by myself in a parking lot with standard handtools, NO carlift, NO bumper nor wheel removal
By means of this thread, I would like to thank RL member rijowysock for his 2010 write-up "16 Steps to Install Exhaust on 997.2 " which was very usefull to me
Also a word of thanks to Alex (Sharkwerks) for the fast reactions and professional answers to my questions
FYI: the Sharkwerks bypass has cost me a total of 1.185 US$ (including additional cost to transport- and import into China). The Gundo hack was done by a local Chinese (good quality of the work) based on a picture I printed out for him, 48 US$ to hack both cans with 2" stainless steel pipe.

i'm honored that you found my post useful, i just love the sound of the .2 engines with the gundo hack and either center X pipe or the sharkwerks cross over pipes...

How much sound does Sharkwerks add? I'm happy with my gundo, but curious about an x-pipe or other center muffler removal mod.

Alex Ross (Sharky) has been fabulous to talk to and email to while answering all kinds of my questions. Was going to order the center bypass exhaust aka "pipes" today but have to wait for an address update. My only concern is will it be too loud if there is such a thing
