I had the garage floor of my last house in NY epoxy coated by a professional to avoid the problems I had heard about from improperly prepared floors and inferior products. I was told not to park on it for 3 days, so I waited 7 days and then only parked with cold tires to avoid any issues.
A few days later I pulled out my Zo6 to the sound of 4 ripping contact patches which left basketball sized holes in the coating. I was beyond pissed. The installer ended up patching the four spots which looked like crap and never matched. I would have had him re do the entire 800 SF garage but I ended up selling the house and relocating and didn't want to deal with his incompetence.
I have been in the car business 28 years and will only tile my garages from now on. It is the best looking and most durable solution out there despite costing a bit more than plastic tiles and epoxy.
Clean up is simple and in the unlikely event of damage, a single tile can be replaced. There is a reason why most world-class auto dealerships have a tile showroom and many also have a tile shop floor.

Great feedback here. I just got off the phone with my contractor, and we are going to do black and white porcelain tiles in a checkerboard pattern with 1/8" black grout line.
I'm officially getting excited about this garage. With all the weather this spring, this is a nice diversion for me. Thanks again for all the feedback!

www.racedeck.com is running a special for Father's Day. Just mention "Cool Daddy 13" for your discount and free shipping. I love my Racedeck garage!

Guys
The floor has worked great with not a broken tile yet. If you drop a socket it does bounce but with no ill effects. Most of the time I slip a big piece of cardboard under the car to make cleaning up easy.
The lift I imported myself from the manufacturer in China. This company makes lifts under many trade names, like Bend Pak, Danmar etc. I did my own install. Check out the Garage Journal forum for detailed photos and other threads on garage flooring.

do any of you guys spill oil or other fluids?
Maybe I'm just messy, but I could see oil stains all over that grout. And race deck? now I got oil or whatever in these channels?
I'm getting quotes for epoxy.
