are those center locking wheels? Tempted to go Fuchs but not doing center lock

here's mine

Ibanezgod - no they are not centre lock rims. They are actually replica Fuchs-look but could not fit the OEM centre caps back in so I'm running them without until I find something that will fit.

BrakingBad, you are right! It's so hot here in Taiwan that we need a cooling vent for our luggage compartment.

Just kidding!

kkswow12/Comanche_699/BrakingBad - It's actually an aftermarket bonnet cover. I've always thought that the few key elements that make up the 911 are the Rear Engine/Rear Drive, Upright Headlights, Roof to Rear Continuous Slope, and the Bonnet Air Vent. Therefore I've worked on trying to make my Mark II look like the classic 911. And to finish it all off, my car is like a tribute to my favourite one of them all, the '73 RS. Therefore I have the required Duck Tail as well.

Once I have time to take better photos I will post them and share with everyone.

Cheers!

Ibanezgod - by the way, nice Turbo! There are so many options for the Fuchs look rims and they all vary a little so take your time and pick wisely.

I love what you've done with this 997...it will look exceptional once it quacks!

You do know that the cooling vent on the hood will now make your gauges fog up, right?!

Keep up the nice work!

fweiss - Thank you! It took a while to put together and it's almost done but just missing a few more pieces. Once that is done I will post real pictures to share.
And to reply back, mine are not real Fuchs either. They are replicas that actually look very much like the originals but are not. The parts guy had sent me the original centre caps for the Fuchs and they do not fit therefore I'm running my wheels without centre caps at the moment.

Oh and my car is just the plain C2 with 19" rims. Wished I had the wide body instead though.

kkswow12 - Thanks! but no this is not a stock MKII bonnet. I wish that the bonnets of these newer cars still retained this feature but, yes I know, it is very bad for aerodynamic drag! hahaha!

but then, what is it? from whence cometh? i am thinking of this as an up-coming keep the romance interesting kind of thing...very nice line adjustment, maybe, possibly, of course, price will be a factor... but it is up there...

Amazing how small the earlier cars look next to the newer models.
