Walmart 1qt $6.97 x 5 = $34.85 (every day price)
Autozone 1qt $8.99 x 5 = $44.95 - $10 = $34.95
Amazon 5x1qt $45.63 - $12 = $33.63
Walmart 5 qt jug may be the best choice after all if you pay sales tax for Amazon purchases. They should have rebates on this Mobil 1 98BB06 0W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil - 55 Gallons Pail Drum

I'm accessing Amazon from a computer in Bellevue, Washington:
I'm seeing Amazon: (its cheaper to buy the 1 qt bottles than the larger 5.1 qt bottle)
(6 pack of 1 quart bottles of 0-40)
Price: $50.19 & FREE Shipping.
Price per quart: $8.365
Price per quart with $12 rebate applied to case: $6.365
(5.1 quart bottle of 0-40)
Price: $45.63 & FREE Shipping.
Price per quart: $8.947
Price per quart with $12 rebate applied to bottle: $6.494

My local Walmart has the 5 Gallon jugs, it is much cheaper than the rebate. My dealer gave me a $600 Service Credit so I will have them do it this year and next, after that I plan to do it myself.

This may be a stupid question, but how how do you get the oil into the car out of the 5qt jug? Tight enough in there with the 1 qt. Normal funnels are at the wrong angle. I have one with a hose, but the flow rate is low. Seems to me that the chance for spillage and gigantic mess is somewhat high.
Anyhow, any good tricks?

Some countries (I'd imagine they had this in the US too) have a hand carry tank with a long hose or spout you can buy, like a watering can. You pour the exact amount of oil you need into that (ie drain your car dry, then fill that intermediate can with the exact amount a full fill should be), and then use that intermediate can to pour the oil into the engine.

The coupon giveth and the fine print taketh away.
alpine-al - thanks for the spout tip. Figured there had to be something out there, but my googling was fruitless.
