Did they check the tie rods and front suspension parts after the accident? You may have bent or broken some suspension parts when you went into the ditch.
A 'shock absorber" is basically an oscillation dampner for the springs. The weight of the car is held up by the springs. The shocks prevent constant bouncing of the springs.
Sounds like you have a bad shock.
If you push down and release on a corner above a wheel, the car should bounce up and then settle.
More movement than that is abnormal.

Did you get an alignment done? Are all for tires matched? How old are they (DOT code dates)? Are they directional in the right position? Are you sure the term "porpoising" is the correct term you are trying to describe? Did your car do this prior to the 10 MPH incident?
Near my house there is a slight dip that I can easily get the nose to lift on. The other day I even got the revs to jump as the rear came up as well.
Maybe you could find another local person with the same car and go for a spin with them on the same roads. Some of the nose lift feeling may be subjective, so the opinion of another owner could help.
