Default How much is alloy?

Ok, so i know that the bonnet (Hood) is made from aluminum but someone told me that most of the bodywork was aluminum but does anyone actually know how much of the body is?

I am getting mixed answers and this would be a nice subject to clear up, however i don't want to put a magnet to my nice bodywork.

Regards

Jeff

Other than the hood, I believe the rest of the body is steel...except the turbo, which has aluminum doors and parts of the bumpers which are "plastic".

Most of the new 911 (991), Boxster and Cayman are aluminium but previous models are mainly steel

When the 997 was first marketed in the USA there was included within the brochures a drawing in color of the various metals used in the construction of the 997. As earlier stated, there are a few aluminum pieces thrown in here and there for weight control, but more importantly is the mix of high strength steels here and there to make the car very strong in an impact. Look for that drawing for specifics.
