Awesome Chris! Congrats. That is why my 911 is a PDK. Wifey can't drive a stick and honestly I love the dual clutch. Always have the 993 when I need to row.

Thanks Dave!!

I traded in my Golf R for this and I'm definitely not disappointed. Long story short, I'll only have this car for a few months before my special-order 2014 S4 comes in. Watch this space...

Nice!

I love Audi cars, my wife is very pleased with her Q5. Been eyeing the S7 as a possible replacement for my dearly departed MB E55 AMG.

+1 The couple of friends I know, that own Audi's, both like them but won't recommend them due to reliability issues. Never owned one either, but really like them.

My previous car was a 2010 B8 S4 and it was great. No question the fit and finish is top notch - it's a great daily driver. What turned me off was Audi flagging the cars at the service dept for any modifications (look up TD1 - plenty of interesting reading). I was an Audi customer for years and years until recently. Here in Northern Virginia at least, Audi is the new BMW.......

Congrats on a sweet new DD, Chris. Sorry if this is a little O/T, but would you care to share your reason(s) for trading the Golf R in for the S4? I'm contemplating a Golf R or a used S4 for my next car, and would be interested in your impressions of the two cars.

Cheers,

Dan

Great car. I dearly wish Audi would offer that motor in the Avant (now Allroad). The Q5 now has it, and the SQ5 looks like it will be a nice combo, would prefer a new A4 Savant! But for now, the S4 is a great combo IMO. Enjoy.

Very nice Chris.

I have been looking at S4 and S5's lately, but cant get past all the comments regarding reliability issues. Hopefully you will have a trouble free car - as they are very easy on the eyes.

I look forward to any future updates on performance, reliability, etc.

Congrats again.

B8 S4s are very reliable. Audi has made big strides over the last few years. Other than leaking water pumps (recalled) in early 2010 models, there are no problem areas.

This is correct - the 2010's had a plastic impeller in the water pump that had a tendency to blow up. That was replaced under warranty and other than that I never had a single issue with the car (beyond squealing brakes in sub 32F weather). The B8 was a hell of lot more reliable than the previous V8 S4 that I had.

That Porsche has a body kit I haven't seen before. It looks awesome though.
