I can't find the answer in the PCM manual - anyone know what "TP" is in the sound options menu on the Bose audio system?

TP = automatic toilet paper dispenser, under glove box, passenger side.
For when you are whipping through the twisties and right before your passenger let's their pucker go.

TP, traffic programme, is a system like RDS that uses a side channel signal on some radio stations for the station to indicate they are airing a traffic information/alert message. It allows the radio to switch stations to where the traffic info is being broadcast, and once the announcement is done, the TP signal should be turned off by that station and thus your radio returns to its previous audio source.
It all works wonderfully in Europe. It works like crap in the US because
1) Few radio stations in few markets use the broadcast feature
2) Of those many misuse it so your radio is changing stations when there is no traffic announcement or they don't turn the signal back off.
3) Most traffic announcements are worthless in the US because
a) there are very few alternative routes around traffic jams and the announcements never really tell you which way to go and there is not signage to route you around anyway
b) the announcements make it very hard to know where the incidents are unless you are intimately familiar with all the roads in your area (rather than using mile markers on interstates, they tend to use cross roads or nearby points of interest as references)
In the US its best to keep TP turned OFF.
