I have a 2007 C4S Targa. The only thing to be concerned about it is the engine itself M96/97 engines have well known failure modes, IMS defects, etc. replacement engines are hard to find. PCNA engine will run 35k.

Oh boy... Here we go again!

Sorry - but this issue has just been THRASHED to death in other threads that you can search for. Always good to do your due diligence BUT an 07'can is a GREAT car with a very very small chance that you'll have the IMS failure. if you can find one with an extended warrenty all the better! But I LOVED my 06 coupe and had no trouble. Great great car.

Have fun with your hunt!

No way to really detect it for all practical purposes. Like another Rennlister posted there are a lot of threads and tech info about this issue. Porsche mechanics who are well versed with the brand will tell you that this was a failed design. Hence the new engine 91A1 for 997.2.

Yes satelite is possible. Many here have done it. You will need an after market kit like dension. Contact http://www.bumperplugs.com/

Try the search option and you will read many posts on DIY on satelite radio

Look at the sticky above for a DIY with the factory satellite kit. It was designed to be dealer installed on '06 Cayenne which I had done in Jan 2006. Full PCM integration. Dave

I have a 07 4S, its been a great car to me and i actually bought mine without the CPO. So far its held up very well and its just been basic maintenance such as oil, tires and plugs. I wouldnt worry about the IMS but do take a look on the underside for oil leaks as you would on any car. Just look over the car history to make sure it doesnt have a bad history..
