Carrera GT body kit for 997
Looks like it's on a wide body.
Not bad. Not my cup of tea, but I think it's innovative.

I agree it's tastefully done, but it hides the 997's best feature-- the flared out rear arches. It's somewhat Cayman-ish, but also not too far from the contraversial straight sides of the 996.

I found the pics because I have a daily google alert on Porsche and it came up with a pic. Just an interesting car, unlike all the usual TechArt and their ilk that haven't gone outside the Box(ster) for three decades. Also a humorous look at other Porsche enthusiasts of a different walk.
For sure this kit is, well, a kit, so it's working with inescapable constraints, but I think they have an eye for design and this melding of Carrera GT and Boxster inevitably suffers the weaknesses of those designs, but it's distinctive and not over the top -- I don't s see it as a stick-on kit of wings, bumpers and skirts. Hell, the factory "aero" kits have always looked like stick-on kits (they still do for the 991.)

997 to 981 conversion. I like the new Boxster platform, but seems like it would be easier to just buy the 981. 981 with a 997S engine is intriging.
