I believe there are something like 360 ignitions in a rev range per second, maybe search around on this to confirm in other posts. Even if a car showed a 1 in range 6 that's 1/360 of a second.

I am trying to sell my car (because I moved out of the country - loved the car) and a couple weeks ago prospective buyer paid for the PPI at a independent shop.

The car now has 91k miles and I bought it with 41k miles, and I have driven it 50k miles in 3 years. Never a problem.

The dealer did a PPI last week, including compression and leak down. I don't have the results yet, but am told all good. I am curious about the rev and odo reads and will find out.

I hope to buy another newer 997 once my new work situation settles (I am in a temp job and looking for better).
