Default Tire pressures for DE with Michelin S Sports

Hi
I am going to my first DE with my new Michelin Super Sport tires, has anyone used these and what do you suggest for cold pressures front and rear as well as hot pressures.
Carrera 2S 19" wheels, I have up sized to 305's in the rear.
Thanks

I have ran these tires to a couple of DEs... But on 18s...

It seems that they do not like anything over 40 psi hot... I would typically stArt them at 33 psi about there...

Now I ran these tires on 19s at Autocross. It seems that the tire pressures are similar to the 18s. Anything over 40 hot, it slides more...

I run 33/37 on my car for everyday use. When I did my DE I ran the same pressure and probably could have bled off a little towards the end of the day as I ran harder.

With MPSS on 19" wheels, 997.2 C2S, I found that I like to target 38 hot -- at the maximum. Even then, there is some benefit to an even lower pressure, but I had issues with shoulder wear that I hoped to mitigate with a little higher pressure. I also found the tires overheat more readily (but maybe I'm making that up). In reality, the shoulder wear is probably more related to camber, though. Cold pressures completely depend on situation. I think 28 is roughly where I started, but ymmv.

1st DE...great...welcome! Just set the tires to stock cold pressure 33/39 and go to your DE with a clear mind, no ego, no worry about tire pressures and so forth.

36 front / 38 rear (hot) works best on mine. They lose grip above that. Have a great time!

I also run 36F/38R (hot) although my car is a GT3. And as others have noted, they get pretty greasy above 40 psi.

I have a 4S with the factory 19s with MSS tyres. The Porsche recommended cold pressures are 33/39 This is from the manual not from the information on the door. The figures on the door are too high, I think they include a full tank of fuel, two passengers and luggage. I've had very even wear using those pressures.

Push the car hard and they'll go up by about 6 - 8 psi during the session. With that much pressure in the tyres she'll be very loose!

As soon as I come off the track I adjust the pressure to about 3 psi over the recommended 33/39 so 36/42. You should probably reduce the pressure in the tyres before the first session. Try taking out 3 psi. However this depends on how hard you are going to push the car. You don't want to be driving around with under inflated tyres.

From what people have said above maybe I should lower my hot pressures even more.

John
