First time owner of a porsche 997 GTS coupe (as evidenced by my username) and still can't stop staring at it and smiling when I see it in my garage. Just wanted to say thanks for all of the helpful posts on this forum (I've been a lurker) and wanted to share pics of the new toy.
Let me know if there are any obvious "must-dos" for a first time owner (SF bay area drives, mods, etc). Thanks and enjoy!

Dark blue metallic. Will take an inside pic when I get back today. Pretty standard stuff inside: all black leather, sport chrono (which I think is GTS standard), paddle shifters, etc. I'm still unsure what options come standard in the GTS vs the C2S/4S - I bought it used with 4500 miles CPO (2012 model year).

Congrats. But just so you know that the newness factor goes away within six months. You'll be tired of it by that time. Even sick of it.
Just kidding. I've had mine for 2.5 years and I recently installed a sofa in the garage so I don't have to stand while staring at it. Besides, it's better than sitting in the family room watching the crap that's on TV.

$120K MSRP car selling for $80-90K does not sound like a fire sale to me, but this is So Cal, which is a very different market than many other places...but two Porsche Certified 2011 GT Silver GTS sold in Los Angeles last weekend (one of them is now mine)
Glad to hear how you all are enjoying yours, I've got until 4/2017 until the warranty expires...miles of smiles ahead for me.

Like I said, So Cal (Los Angeles is a different market). a 2010 GT3 that is CPO will set you back $100K - $110K. I like the linear power of a normally asperated engine, and I like the comfort features of a non GT3 suspension, I like the understated design (no wings) but the big C$S Turbo hips, with the option to go into "sport plus" mode and turn the car into a monster. I think the GTS is the best of all possibilities - but that's just me.
