Default Anyone do a Crios hack on a 997?

I've thought about doing the Gundo Hack...seems pretty easy. I came across another idea that the Boxster guys use...called the Crios Hack. You basically slide the clamp between the cat and muffler over to expose a slight gap. You gotta do it on both sides, obviously. I did it and it sounds pretty good. Nice sound when I'm on it, but quiets down totally when I'm cruising.
Question: any reason not to do this? I mean other than being a bit crude. Does it hurt the car at all?

... or you could clip some baseball cards to your fender well so the spokes of your wheels slap against them.

Kebal, I would not want to create a air leak at the header/cat joint. this could cause fumes into the cabin and also compromise the strength and integrity of your exhaust system staying on the car. If you just want a better sound for you car then just simply replace the rear side mufflers with the aftermarket brand of your choice.

This is a great idea for those long drives.
The additional Cabon Monoxide creates a euphoric state while you're driving.
Very pleasing

Long drives will probably be OK.

Stuck in traffic, or at a long stop light, will be detrimental....kind of like smoking !/2 a pack of cigarettes in 3 minutes or so.

Why not just take a screwdiver and poke holes anywhere in the exhaust system unitl you get the perfect sound you're looking for?

Could you use regular playing cards rather then Baseball cards?? Would it change the sound?

I've heard that Clubs work better than any other suit.

I just spent $1200 in parts trying to get rid of the multiple "Crios" hacks in my grand wagoneer. It's so cool I should have left it alone.

Is this Crios fella still alive after driving his car? I don't think I'd want my name associated with this "hack".
