Default Audible indicator to arm the alarm

Been here a while and as i remember quite a few discussed about having an audible indicator for arming the alarm on our cars. Some had suggested to leave the box open. But now i read from our no less than USMC that it can be done by durametric pro or piwis. This is great. Can our other brothers who have tried it share their experience? How did they do it? What settings were modified?

Dimming mirrors can be turned off with the button on the bottom of the mirror - turns off side mirrors and rearview mirror. That info was less than $145.

I doubt the dealer will be able to turn it off then. Imagine if you pull power for dimming feature you'll lose power for Escort. How about asking the guy who modified the mirror - he should know.
