Default OEM Cover for 997 4S

I am interested in an outdoor OEM car cover for an 07 997 4S. Apparently there are 2 options. One for a C2 and one for a turbo. Since the 4S has a wide body should I go with the turbo as I understand these fit snug? Thanks.

I have a factory cover on my 4S and it indeed fits very tight. I like that because it is not going to blow around when on the car. THe fit is perfect so I am thinking it had to be for the 4S specifically.

I had one for my car but only put it on one time. I hated it and sent it back. They had one that worked with my aero kit, and I don't think it was a repurposed turbo cover.

I did not like the OEM one either, and that was for a Targa, also 07(wide body)....so tight, I did not feel comfortable
at all using it, still have not found one haha, I took the other one back,
some folks have recommended suncoast, but I have not tried one out yet....

good luck on the hunt

Cairo94507, is your cover outdoor? I wish I knew what the part number was for your cover. I have heard both answers from Porsche parts, that the C2/C2S fits and some say get the turbo cover, even though there will be some slop since the C4 doesnt have the wing. They say there is not one specifically for the C4/C4S. Is there any slop on yours (where the wing would be on a turbo)? Thanks!

I have the OEM on my C2S and there's easily an extra inch of width in the hips so I don't see any reason it won't also fit a C4S. Also, neither Suncoast nor the Tequipment catalog differentiate between the models (part # 997 044 000 03 in the 2009 catalog and 997 044 000 11 in 2010). Both, however, show a separate cover for the Turbo. Now for the indoor covers, there are 5 which you can peruse on the Suncoast website. See http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...e=9972s_covers You should Google and download the catalog as it's a great resource.

I love my OEM cover and use it all the time. Dave

Here is my car cover - it fits snugly on the entire car.

I do not believe that Porsche has a separate OEM cover for 2s and 4s.

I also cannot stand the tight fit of the OEM. Seams are starting to split on mine (indoor version on my C4S). Probably works just fine on a 2.

I understand the need for tight outdoors, but beware of the fit on your 4S.

Old thread, but useful. I have a 997.1 with aerokit and thinking of the indoor cover 99704400005. Is the fabric very nice and soft? Good fit?

The material of the OEM indoor cover is stretchy and soft - fine for indoor use.

I have the OEM indoor cover for the 911 aerokit that I used outside for a few months. Fit was very good but tight and is pretty thin...keeps off the leaves and dust and blocks some sun. I later bought a "quilted" cover that is not OEM but fits over the wing...it's a bit baggy and I don't really like it, so I'm looking for something better. Seems like someone should make a good GT3 cover...

By the way, if anyone wants the indoor cover, PM me and we can work out something.

I have the OEM Cover for my 997.1 C2 and the fitment is too tight. I have trouble putting by myself because the side mirrors fits but with a minimal room.
