All your dealer is trying to do is to get you in to their service department for this "free" inspection, or campaign as they call it. Once they have you there, they will try and sell you stuff like a four wheel alignment.

On the positive side.........possibly the op car is almost out of warranty and they would like to inspect and repalce any defective parts cost free before his warranty expires ?

Is it possible that the dealer has gone through its records of customers who have NOT been in for the HPFP or the clutch switch, knowing that it's a warranty repair item? That sounds both customer-friendly and manufacturer-unfriendly, but not altogether impossible, to me.

Sorry, lost track of this thread! I bounce between here and 911 air cooled boards.
It might have been a simple mass mailing, to draw in customers as some of you said. However, I assume I am a VIP @ the dealership (on my 5th new Porsche, with #3 allocation spot for the new TT) and will get to the bottom of it tomorrow night. Tomorrow night is the grand opening private party for the new dealership, which is now 100% up to the new Porsche dealership specs. Looking forward to that for sure. I went to MB Manhattan's grand opening and we were treated to a private concert by Matchbox 20 in the park across the street. Here are a couple links, it was a blast!
