slicky - I agree with you. FWIW, my 18 inch SNOW tires are quieter on my 997.2 C4S DD than the 19 inch summer tires. The higher profile winters seem to conduct less noise than the low profile summers. Maybe try to borrow a set of 18 inch wheels and tires?
