Default Clear bra and rock chip repair in NJ

I'm assuming this topic has been dealt with in the past, but this forum software's search features are close to useless, so I apologize if this is a rehash...

I'm hoping to get a bunch of rock chips on my hood repaired and then a quality clear bra installed. Forum searching has revealed a single recommended NJ film installer called "Executive Paint Protection" in Lodi, NJ. They use "XPEL Technologies" film to protect the panels. I've no clue if they also repair chips.

I also found a single recommended paint work specialist named John Paterek, but, upon further searches, found that he only works on older P-cars (356s and early 911s).

Does anyone have any other recommended specialists in the central NJ area? There've got to be good ones out there...

Thanks in advance!

Mike,

There are a few folks in Central NJ but no one that does consistent good work. In Northern NJ is Detailers Domain. Give Phil a call and he can manage the entire process for you. A first class opertion.

Bodymotion in Ocean Township, near Eatontown does top notch work. Mike Bavaro has been around for a long time. They also use EXPEL technologies.

Great mechanical shop. Mike is a craftsman in rebuilding motors and transmissions and rear ends.

This comment is a general statement. Always carefully inspect other cars that have had clear bras installed. There are some installers in Central NJ that have worked on friends cars with less than stellar results. Do your due diligence. So far, my only choice for consistent quality work would be Detailers Domain. And you will pay for the superior quality.

Give Ace a call for the clear bra 732-493-2700. If you would like, stop on by and check out the shop. We can also take care of your paint and refinishing needs.

I had clear bra on 2 previous 911s. Rock chips nick the plastic too and that looks almost as bad as paint chips IMO! The graceful hood of a 911 looks so sweet in natural paint. I have decided to use touch up paint (tooth pick works great) every 3 months before applying a coat of wax. Eventually the bumper and the hood will get re-painted but in the meantime I will enjoy the car el natural. Cost is comparable too!
