It's a very pretty car. I'm guessing your friend is in his 50's or 60's. I can't see anyone else liking those wheels.
They scream "old timer". Just my opinion.
Unfortunately, I agree. I am definitely not a fan of the wheels or the black panel on the rear fender flairs (reminds me of a 80s 911). I do love the ducktail though.
But everyone should do what they like with their car
I am 43 and I love the look. A little 70's ducky, 80's bbs and black guards. I have never liked another car more than a 911 and have since I starting liking cars so to me this modern interpretation looks tasty and well done. Am guessing that the new "Fuchs" also look "vintage" to some. nice pics as well
Fantastic photos and a gorgous car... the ductail though doesn't work for me in any angle but side angle... for some reason this one looks quite different than the Carrera Classic Porsche one that looked just amazing. I think it's bit narrower or so...
^^^Looks terrific bmwfan328!!! Really like the look with your HRE wheels. You posted earlier about the ducktail not fitting too well, can you elaborate please?

Thanks! Overall, the Getty ducktail is great quality, and most I have seen on the forums seem to fit beautifully. I am having trouble getting the lower right corner (where it meets the bumper and taillight) to sit as low as the left side, which fits perfectly. I did the usual pre-paint test fit, did a little sanding here and there to make sure all lines were perfectly straight, cut the second intake hole for my X-51 air box, and holes for the wiring to run the fixed wing cable properly. I even went as far as elongating the mounting hole on the hinge that bolts to the ducktail, but cannot get that corner to sit flush. After hours of adjusting and aligning, making sure nothing in the engine bay was hitting the tail, I've pretty much come to the conclusion that it came out of the mold a little "off", as is expected with most fiberglass pieces. It's not terrible, but it's not perfect
I have been asking that same question in this thread and by PM so far no response
Sorry for no reply, I have been waiting on a reply from my friend who owns the car. Maybe he can chime in here. Glad everyone enjoys the car/pics though!
