@PHX this appears to one of the better warranties out there along with Easy Care. My real concern is the statement saying 50,000 miles and wear and tear as the car is 40,000.

Anyone had Fidelity payout a major problem with the engine when car is over 50,000 and under their platinum warranty?

Thanks all for the help.

Over revs within the control of the rev-limiter are recorded in Ranges 1-3.
Over revs that exceed the rev-limiter are recorded in Ranges 4-6.

Good article in the Feb. 2013 Excellence (PPI 101) that touches on this.

@P0rsch3F113, thanks much, is that article on line? Couldnt seem to find the same. Also checking with Fidelity, they mentioned that if a car has been tracked in the past and if a failure occurs now because of the same, the warranty would not cover it. Thats really strange almost like not covering because of a pre-existing gradually growing condition from the past.

Looks like even Porsche's CPO will not cover anything range 4 and higher, what chance do I really have with a 3P warranty :-).

Ask this question to the techs where you have your car serviced and repaired. Ask them how Easy Care pays? Easy? Or hard? Or never?

Interesting to note that I replaced my engine 18 months ago, but a DME report still shows everything from the original engine.

Over-rev history can't be altered or erased.
It's permanently recorded into the DME (can only be removed from the car by changing out the DME).
