Default iPhone 5 Question

Can anyone who has a 997.2 and an iPhone 5 definitively say whether it pairs with the PCM 3.0 Bluetooth and whether, when used with the Lightning adapter cable, plays and can be controlled through the car's audio system? My iPhone 4 works perfectly, but I'm thinking of upgrading to an iPhone 5.

Thanks!

My iP5 works great through bluetooth but I use a USB thumb drive for music. The reason is that the install is much cleaner as I'm not a fan of the purpose built 3-way cable. But if you so choose, the PCM works fine IIRC (I only gave it a quick test before I concluded it was a no go). dave

I'll echo what rodsky and dasams have said. My 997.2S works great w/ iPhone 5 via bluetooth for phone calls. I plugged it in the other day via my usb/lightning adaptor and the Porsche would not play any music off of the iPhone. So I just use a dedicated iPod for music.

My works exactly as expected over BT. I used the old audio cable with adaptor for the iPhone 5. Works perfectly

Works for both BT and Audio for me as well in a 2010 C2S.
I have the 30-pin to lightning adapter cable. It also fits in the console with the lid closed.

Thanks for the replies. One of the reasons I'm interested in connecting the iPhone to the UAI is to stream music through Pandora and other services. I've found that, with the exception of the inability to listen to Howard Stern, I like these services better than XM.

I can't stream via BT on my iPhone 4S in my 11 GTS. I think you can on the 991.

I think that's right. On our cars, the only factory way to get audio from the iPhone through the car's sound system is to physically connect it with a cable. BT works only for making/receiving calls.

From what others have posted, it sounds like I should be able to physically connect an iPhone 5 to the UAI and stream Pandora and other services as I currently do with my iPhone 4.

Thanks, again, for the replies.

but you're not using data from your phone's plan when you have XM.
I find data pricing for the major carriers to be outrageous given the limits.
One reason why I will be opting to pay full price for my next phone from Verizon, it's the only way I can keep my unlimited data.

I'm "grandfathered" into AT&T's original iPhone gen 1 data plan, which is unlimited. (Actually, it's unlimited to about 5GB, then gets throttled back, but still, no additional charges.) That's enough for my "normal" data useage plus Pandora while driving.
