PSE tips or S tips?
I purchased exhaust tips from a rennlister about a week ago, but decided I didn't want them. These tips were sold to me as PSE tips, but I now have another rennlister/ buyer telling me they are S tips. I will attach some pictures and maybe you guys can help me out.

Here is a link to show the PSE. You can see the difference in the PSE tips and the tips you have posted.

PSE tip have 2 pipes from the muffler to the tips and S tips have just 1 pipe from muffler to tip.
Those are S tips in your picture.

One reason (silly I know) that I chose the PSE system was because when looking closely at the standard S exhaust system I noticed that the rear pipes (as pictured in your posting) are fake--they show dual outlets, but they are essentially fake. Both the S tips and the PSE tips have a novel way of appearing to route exhaust--they allow ambient air flow from outside the exhaust system to enter just before these tips and exit with the gases--effectively keeping the tips cool. (Let's say you put a non-cotton car cover on the car after a spirited run--none of these tips will melt the cover--they never get that hot. That's why many suggest powder coating as opposed to ceramic coating their tips--you never challenge the tips with that kind of heat).
Sadly, who sent you those, sent you standard S tips. Can you send them back?
Here are PSE tips--the diameters are different between the two tubes, and of course, the part numbers are going to be different. See the PSE part numbers here:

Actually this may be good news for you as I recall your previous post and believe you have a 997.1 base Carrera (non-S) and if that is the case all you need now is the FVD adapter rings to use these.
Or if your car is a 997.1 S series (3.8L) you are in luck. Plug and play. If you end up not wanting/using them I would be interested as I want to powder coat a set for myself. PM me if you don't end up using them.

Do the PSE tips and S tips have identical mounting clamps? In other words, could PSE tips be installed on a regular S muffler outlet?
My car has PSE but I was always curious if the tips were interchangeable.

PSE tips do NOT fit any other exhaust but PSE, so you did indeed get lucky, the seller might have assume "S" tips stand for Sport Exhaust? Not sure, as long as you didn't pay outrageous amount for those, you're totally lucky!
