Default After 3 weeks, I really get it now

After 3 weeks of ownership of my new (to me) '06 Cab S, I took the "long way home" from work a couple of days ago with the roof down (70 degrees in December in Baltimore!) and drove past my neighborhood into the valley area of northern Baltimore County. Beautiful horse farms, smooth twisty roads with little traffic, and the sun setting as I took this shot from the driver seat with my phone. What an amazing automobile and what a great way to end the day. : )

70 degrees in Baltimore you're doing better than us in California. xP Is this your first Porsche? I got my first one this summer (2008 C2S Coupe) and the "hassle" of driving has given way to using any excuse to drive. This includes sneaking out at unsavory hours of the morning to drive empty roads. Thankfully I have a very understanding gf who loves the car as well :P

Yes indeed! Coming home tonight, although traffic was rather heavy, I was smiling all the way, also took the long way home.

Right on buddy! I'm there with ya. Had the top down on Saturday and loved it. These are GREAT cars and so fun to drive - especially with the top down and wind in the cabin. After 5 years of P-car ownership, I STILL get it.

I have to drive to a customer's today to teach a class.......driving the Porsche is half the fun of the day......knowing she's there for the ride home makes me smile all day!!

Gotta split to start to get ready....can't wait........still! Kinda like being married to a good woman....after all of the years just thinking that she's with you makes you smile!

Those 70 degrees days are few and far between in December, I'm glad you go to enjoy it. Every time I get out of work its pitch black.

You're absolute right Tarek. I'm still waiting for mine from Darin though...

BTW, it doesn't have to be 70 degrees to enjoy a top down day. For me the cutoff is 50 degrees. Heated seats, heat on, and the wind deflector in place = no problem.

The stock exhaust note from the 997.1 S isn't too bad without mod, but it is something I plan on exploring. In fact, for the first time ever I find myself turning the radio DOWN so I can hear my car. And, yes, I have used the top down with temps in the 50s, but earlier this week was a special treat.

I'm on a business trip near Baltimore all this week so I've missed driving my C2 Cab this week. But I go back tomorrow evening and the forecast for home in Raleigh is mostly sunny and 72 degrees for Sat and Sun, so I will put the top down and look for excuses to drive. Welcome to the club, SMR

I totally get you. This being my first 911, I enjoy every minute in the car. I am awaiting a used Fister system, recently purchased from another 'lister, (Jbellz18). The addiction will be elevated from that point on, I'm sure!
