No offense, but they did not look like a team deserving of the #1 title.
If they play like that in title game they are going to get lambasted.
In the 4th quarter they got lit up by an un-ranked team with a freshman QB with no experience.

No offense taken, but I think we may have been watching different games. The game I watched had the fourth quarter tied 3-3.
The score in the 4th quarter was 3-3, however USC moved the ball 142 yards and ND moved the ball only 61 yards. The difference in the game was USC's inability to score in the red zone. I understand that red zone defense is a strong area for Notre Dame...but they did not look like the #1 team in the country to me. They should have destroyed USC just as Alabama destroyed Auburn. Just my opinion.

I don't ever remember going into an SC game expecting to crush them, but that's me. I like winning. Winning is nice, and it has us in the NC game. USC's star wide receiver, without hesitation, stated that ND was the best team USC has played this year. "Better than Oregon?" asked a reporter. "Yes", he replied. I think ND was the toughest team they faced. They don't play much defense in the PAC 10/12/14. Maybe that was the difference.
