Default flat repair goo- what'd you replace with?

Had a puncture last night and made it to a tire repair shop where they recommended the repair goo in the frunk. It ended up working perfectly, to my surprise. What are replacing the stuff with? I don't necessarily need to replace with P branded bottle.

But, buy the goo that states "for tires with TPMS".

Wait. What? You made it to the repair shop and they had you use the Porsche flat repair kit?
Did I miss something? Why didn't they patch the tire?

I don't think it's a permanent fix.

they said it was too close to sidewall for inside patch. plug risked more damage to tire. Crazy thing is that I was putting on winter tires TODAY and scrapping the punctured set! So, I made it 40 miles home, tire was still inflated fine this a.m.

And the puncture culprit? A plastic ink pen. I must have caught it just right.

I don't use it, ever. (Unless I absolutely had to I suppose) Replaced it with a generic plug kit and the tools required.
