Coming in late here, too. Just a plug for Carchex (no affiliation). My 05 base car that I bought at 25K miles (4 years ago) has been covered by a Carchex based plan that I purchased right after the car was delivered to me. I paid about $3400 for 4 years and up to 75K miles. Paid it all up front. I do ALL of my own oil changes unless the motor was opened for some reason and it had to be done. Carchex had this warranty serviced by Royal here in Florida. Some of the readers here may recall my name over the last few years because I have had some MAJOR issues with my car (unending CEL that resulted in complete lifter change being the largest, about $6K) that have resulted in around $20K in repairs. My shop has been the go between for all of this work. Royal sent adjusters out to eval on site 3 or 4 times, always within a day and the work was always approved, no questions. Of course I had the the factory maintenance services done as per the owner's manual, but as I said, did all of my oil changes (kept all receipts and written record of the change date/materials used, etc.). From my experience only, the Carchex experience has been worth every cent. YMMV.

Just contacted Carchex. Seems like coverage varies by state but I was told that they would only cover an 06 and above in Washington.

I buy coverage on all my Porsches. The company that coveraged the last two was called National Repair Solutions. They paid for my transmission on my last 911, that was $5,000. I looked into them as well they are re-insured by an insurance company. The price was around $3,000 for 5 years. I would look them up and give them a try. Hope that helps!

I got warranty from Endurance (exclusionary) warranty for $2,800 / 4years and 25k miles. My car is used around 5k miles a year, so miles is not a problem.

My CNA warranty has been good. They covered ~$1600 for tire pressure sensors (at dealer) a few months ago and this week ~$1,100 (independent shop) for front differential gaskets/alignment.

I assume you have to be a Costco member to purchase coverage? And is it in all states or just Florida?

I bought coverage from Costco with CWS (Century Warranty Services) about 3 years ago for 6 years or 75k. It is no longer offered by Costco but CWS is the same as Fidelity just like Platinum excluded coverage.
