I'm with you!!

The similarities to those English sports cars to me were you had to drive them....they didn't drive themselves and if you didn't pay attention to what you were doing you could get into a lot of trouble fast.

I miss those cars and the times they were fresh and new. Simpler world and IMO much better.

Brings a smile to my face always!

Don't do it! You'll be bitten and intoxicated and fumbling around for your wallet like a junior on a first date.

I'd LOVE a 95 993 Cabrio...BUT we already have an 06 Cabrio ....and a ONE CAR GARAGE....
So, I guess the next buy will be to upgrade the X5 from 06 to 09 or 10 (the last NEW car I bought was a 69 Pontiac Station wagon...I like 3 year old off lease low mileage CPO's

I'm thinking a 981 S in 3 years or so. Was a toss up with the 997 this year. Would love to have an early or backdated 911, but I like to DD my toys, so that likely won't happen.

No cars that I'm eyeing on. I consider my current Porsche collection to be complete.

Next purchase likely the Macan as my daughter's first car.

If Porsche will make a new 928, 2 doors, over 500hp, 4WD, hard top convertible, then I'm in.

I'd like to find a ratty old late 60's 911, freshen up the engine and suspension but keep the exterior faded and rusty to drive around town and back and forth to work.

i imagine(again) the GTS cab with a hardtop would tickle me as much or more than the X-51 does now, and now, and...

If I had the time/money and could find an old Triumph, I'd jump at the chance. Where I lived in Bethesda there was a shop called "The Motor Car" and that guy had everything you need for a British auto.
Even a TR6, GT6, Stag or Spitfire would be a cool addition to a collection. After the TR6 things went downhill for Triumph in my view....
The 911 is a more refined, powerful automobile that delivers that "primal" feel. Something to aspire to...two in the garage..side by side and a decision to make when it's time for a drive....

My next Porsche won't be a Porsche... now it'll be a 2014 Audi RS4. There was one at Cars and Coffee this week. Spectacular. I'm #1 on my dealer's allocation list...

In addition to my current 997:
1. Definitely would have to be a late 80s 911 carrera or a 930 turbo.
2. Then a 993 of some sort.
3. another 997 (GT3)
