Default Interior LED Conversion

I did the interior LED conversion today. What a difference in brightness and clarity. I purchased the kit from ECS Tuning (No Affiliation) and thus far no error messages. Exterior License Plate, Side Markers and HID Headlight swap out as soon as they arrive from ROTtec (No Affiliation). Still waiting on front DRL and Rear Tail LED's to arrive also. I'll snap a couple pics of the exterior once I complete the changeover.

Ooooops! Pictures are huge. Hopefully these are smaller and more manageable?

Looks great, Rob. I plan to do this mod in the near future, too.

Definitely make a huge difference. Keep me posted on what you think once you get them in.

Personally i like the look of the warmer original lights. Kinda gives it class.

I have every option for aluminum on the car. The bright LED's really help that stand out. If I had the complete black interior I think the warmer look would be nice. With all the accents of aluminum, I think it really helps it pop. My 2 cents....

Even in an all black interior car, I prefer the brighter LED lighting. Black absolutely absorbs the light, and makes things difficult to see. LED lighting makes everything more visible (not always a good thing if the dog has been in the car recently. HAIR EVERYWHERE!)

I've swapped all four of my cars to LED lighting (even though the 944 only has 3 interior lights), and I wouldn't have anything else now.

I am puzzled why this mod is as popular as it is... the lights stay on for like 10 seconds --max-- while you're getting in and out of the car. The warm lights that come stock on a 911 are plenty bright to see where to grab your door handle to close the door, and where to stick the key to start the car. And I doubt they put any real additional fatigue on the battery.

Having said that, I have given some thought to doing the license plate lights, as they are on all of the time after dark, and the whiter light does look better matched to the stock LED tail lights on the .2 cars. At least it does from the picture Suncoast has on it's website.

Are your door sills illuminated or is that just because of the camera flash?

Our LED License Plate Light Kit is hugely popular on our website. We ship out these kits every day. We've got them on a few of our cars and it makes a nice improvement. Have another look HERE.

I have the LED interior lights and I love them. Every modern car has that feature now, including the new 991. My footwell lights are on all the time (learned this from my Lexus IS350 days) It gives the interior an upscale, modern look.

Stupid question, but how do you reply to a comment further up the chain? I see all the grey boxes with the original question with "Originally Posted By"

Thanks,
