Default brake pad question

about to turn my car back in from lease next month - of course, the brake wear light comes on. Ordered the parts from Pelican but bought the Textar pads - which says they are OEM, and cost less than half the original Porsche pads. Anyway, I get the wheel off, and notice that the old pads have a roller on the front and back part of the pad, up at the top - my new pads do not. I put everything back together, untouched for the moment. What's up with those rollers? Any problem replacing with pads that don't have them? Thanks for your help.

Those "rollers" are actually weights to help balance the pads to keep the squeal away. No problem not having them...what I mean is you will not hurt anything as they are just there to help dampen vibrations that cause brake pad squeal.
