Finally a 911 owner!
Well, I finally made the jump to the 911.. I picked up this 2007 997.1 C2S about a month ago, and I finally got around to snapping some pics today. I traded in my 2007 Cayman, which I don’t think I’ll miss. I had been toying with the idea of upgrading to a 911 ever since my brother picked up a 40th anniversary edition 911 about 2 years ago. I also wanted the back seat for the occasional trips with the fam. This will be a weekend car (like my Cayman was).
Some details:
2007 997.1 C2S
32K miles
Arctic Silver / sea blue
Aerokit
Tubi exhaust
Heated seats
Sport Chrono
PCM w/ Nav
Bose
Power Seat
19” RG5B Champion Motorsport wheels
The PO added the wheels, exhaust, and aerokit after the fact, so I get to benefit from their initial investment, as those mods aren’t cheap.
Since I’ve owned it, I have done:
Oil change
Cabin & air filter
Serpentine belt
New battery
New Bridgestone S-04 Pole Position tires (in 305/30 – the car came to me with 295/30s which were too small for the rear wheels.
It needs a few things that I haven’t got around to yet:
-Both rear seats are not “affixed” to the front Velcro – the Velcro sticks to the seat bottom and the 3 prongs are sticking out – do I have to pull out the rear carpet to re-affix these 3-point clips?
-I’m considering doing the center console in arctic silver (I did this on my Cayman and really liked how it freshened the interior..)
-I’ve already scraped up the front lip, so I want to get some door trim that some have done to minimize the damage
- Replace the rear qtr panel stone guards
Coming from the base Cayman, the power increase is much more than I expected. I had a maxspeed exhaust on my Cayman and the sound of the Tubi is just loud enough to not be obnoxious.
I’m glad finally be a 911 owner!
(My DD/work car is an 89 900Turbo Saab, hence the name..)
