Last night I watched again as Magnus walker blasted thru LA in an 2.4 911T. I was mesmerized! As usual though I began drifting into other Youtube videos and came across this series from Gunnar Racing. It is the restoration of a 917. When i was younger I watched racing when it was available and LeMans the movie hundreds of times. These cars fascinated me! This probably is old news(vids are circa 2009) but these guys prep a museum piece for racing/restoration.To me it is utterly fascinating how simplistic these cars were and how very beautiful they are underneath the skin. As I first began to watch I thought these guys were hacks, then you begin to realize the level of knowledge this shop has in this kind of work. Absolutely amazing!
