By the way Joe... If I may ask, I have seen quite a few owners of tricked out Hondas paint their hoods black, and never understood exactly why. Yours is the first 911 I've seen with it. Is it simply an aesthetics choice, or is there some other purpose?

Perhaps they're carbon fiber for weight saving?

Perhaps... I've seen CF hoods, not painted. I'm sure that is to show off that they are CF. I'm not sure why someone would put the money into a CF hood, and then lay a coat of flat paint over it, but to each their own.

I drive 500 miles a week on my car on never ending construction zone at the Fla Turnpike. The hood is covered by a removable vinyl in flat color for protection. And, I like the way it look on black cars...

congrats on the purchase ... i also have black on black ... looks to me from the pic in your sig that your tires are on the wrong side .. the directional tread looks to be facing the wrong way easy fix by switching left and right sides

if im wrong ... sorry

clear bra on the bumper only... my hood was taking a beating...
