That's an odd conclusion.... I bought my C4S in Florida b/c there are so many used to choose from! Low miles, well maintained, good roads, good weather, and good pricing b/c of the supply.

A while back I seem to remember someone trying to find out how many GTS's were manufactured. Well, at least I think it was GTS's. Anyway, this person ended up calling PCNA and was told, in no uncertain terms, that PAG does not make that specific information available to the public. It seems though, that if you were doing research and getting stonewalled, that DMV records on certain makes registered during a given year ought to be available. That, however, might be an awful lot of work.

Were have very few on the roads in Santa Barbara--at least that I have seen. I saw a lot more 991 activity when Porsche was in town in Nov 2011 doing the world media launch here. Now, not very many. I think I've seen 2-3. Usually money is not object in this town, but something is going on. I blame it on Bush.

With the rave reviews of the 991, it will sell very well. The November issue of Motor Trend named the 991 The Best Driver Car. Also, fantastic comments of the PDK by Randy Pobst professional driver.
I have not seen any on the road yet (Orange County CA) but that is irrelevant.

I live adjacent to one of the 10 wealthiest communities in the U.S. (according to Wikipedia) and I have seen one 991 on the road. I see the same cars at the dealer when I cruise by once a month. They have some used 997.2s that aren't selling either, so maybe they are surviving on Cayenne or Audi sales.
I wonder if Porsche will offer incentives to move cars?

The 991 is a great car, and the low sales figures (if that's a indeed a fact) are relative to its inordinate price tag. If it was in the 100K range I would purchase one in a heart beat and I bet so would many others. As it stands Porsche priced themselves out of the comparative market.
