If you are a fan of Fifth Gear British TV show with Tiff Needell and Vickie Butler-Henderson, this show will start airing on the Velocity Channel in early October.

This show is as good if not better than Top Gear since they just test drive cars, no fooling around with RV's, cars turned into boats, etc. just pure car tests.

I recall Tiff saying in an old episode that he campaigned a 944 early in his career.

Not sure about the 944 but he did drive a Porsche 956 at Le mans in '82. Jason Plato is more current as he still races, but both of them are fantastic drivers and pretty decent presenters too. The format hasn't changed much this season, lots of track based head-to-head stuff with Tiff and Jason, some good car tests with VBH and some fun stuff/consumer reviews from Jonny Smith.

The Suzuki Swift handbrake parking bit in episode 2 is definitely worth watching, Tiff and Jason get very competitive!

I saw that too...looking forward to my car show fix between Top Gear seasons and reruns. Kinda wish the US Top Gear on history channel would insert more car reviews, that programming element seems to have disappeared.

I like this show but never figured out how a tall British guy gets the surname China.

They drift a little too much on the show, but anything beats any usa car show.

Sadly all USA car shows are all on 60's and 70's muscle cars. Gets a little boring with push rod engines, carbs and live axles.

I stopped watching America Top Gear after the second episode, all they do is goof around. It's fun for them, not so fun to watch for me. I love fifth gear, think it's a lot better show than Top Gear for car reviews. TG is great if you want a good laugh. I download all my videos on finalgear.com
