Default Wheel Offset

I'm looking at buying some 3-piece forged wheels used and the offsets are:

Front 19" x 8.5" 45 Offset
Rear 19" x 11 50 Offset

My stock rims are:

Front 19" x 8 57 Offset
Rear 19" x 11 67 Offset

Guy tells me that the rim will fit a narrow body car only. Help me out with the figures above because those offsets seem way off compared to the stock. I wouldn't mind if the wheel came out closer to the edge of the fender more but I'm unsure how to calculate.

you can remove one of you rear wheels and do a test fit.

Your current rims are the standard 997 NB offsets. what you do do to quickly calculate the rear offsets since both wheels are 19 X 11, is measure the distance that your 67 offset wheel ( and tire) can be "pushed" out towards the edge of the wheel well.

IMO, the rears can pry come out another 7 to 10 mm and then the wheel/tire starts to come out a little too much from the fender edge. so that effectively changes your offset to a 60 , or even a 57. Im not sure if your car ( Carrera S in your sig can accomodate the additional 7mm.

The 50 Offset is a little too much, so I can't see it fitting well on the rear.

with the 8.5 inch front ( 1/2 inch increase in width) , it is already offset( pushed out) approx 11mm, so it should be about the same as your 8 inch wheel minus 11mm, i.e. 46 mm offset.

take a pic of the wheels you are looking to purchase; there may be a member here who has them.
