I purchased the Navigation System Software Upgrade Kit for my 2006 C4S, so that I could use the new version of the map DVDs. The Nav software update went fine.

There were additional update DVDs in the Upgrade Kit for a Multimedia Upgrade. Is there any benefit to installing these additional upgrades? Are there DIY instructions anywhere?

Just newer roads are included. It doesn't change how it works.

The upgrade is worse than useless. It gives you no new features, it costs $200 for the software kit, and you can't use the updated map DVD without it.
