Just got my new toy. Something I’ve been wanting for years. It’s a black on black 2005 997.1 Carrera S coupe 6spd with factory upgraded Bose Stereo with cd changer w/out Nav. I’m waiting for the dealership to get me the owner’s manual so I can start to read up on the car. I’ve been watching lots if youtube.com videos to figure out some of the goodies of the car, but I can seem to find out anything on the Factory Stereo. I’m wanting to be able to jump to the next cd and I can’t seem to figure it out on my own. Can someone help me? Sorry I know it’s a stupid question. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks…

What specific questions do you have? There really isn't much to it. The only disadvantage to buying an 05 is that the in-PCM CD player is not capable of playing MP3s--that came in the MY06 and later cars.

Thanks.. I just want to advance to the next cd in the 6 cd changer when playing. I can advance to the next song but can't seem to figure out how to advance to the next cd if i want at any point. Thanks again..

Hey, Cameron. Welcome to the 997.1 club. If you press and hold any number 1 through 6, it will change to that CD in the changer. Try that. I don't use my changer often, so I'm going by memory. If it doesn't work, let me know, and I'll check the manual since our cars are similar (though I do have Nav too).
