997 suspension upgrade to Bilsteins B14's
If this is discussed elsewhere, my apologies. I could not find it.
I had a 996 C4 which I upgraded with the M030 suspension which I loved. It gave me a sure footing doing the things I like. Well, I could not pass up the offer of acquiring a 997 - 2007 CPO and thinking of upgrading to suspension to the B14's. Any thoughts, cons, pro's, etc.. Any other setups that would not break the bank?

it probably depends of what you want to achieve in the end. stock 997 shocks are billsteins too, btw.
you can change springs on stock shocks, you can send stock shocks to be re-valved for different spring ratios, you can throw entire pasm out and put dual or more adjustable shocks, it all depends of what you want.
if you only want to lower your car - put on eibach springs set for 997 pasm cars. if you want to rebuild suspension you need to know what it is you want to get in the end.

No PASM in this 997
If the beast had PASM, we would not be having this conversation. This car is a for the most part a base model. Was looking for the S or C4S but at the price, low miles and being CPO, I'll hold off until my next one in two years.
I read about just doing the springs, and thought about it. nahh, go with coil overs the little voice said.
Thanks

The little voice is right. I would not stop at springs and go right to coilovers and sway bars (while the patient is open). I had PASM, so stuck with the Bilstein's to retain original behavior. They (again, combined with bars) are much much better. And using springs to lower the car just seems a bit impure to me. THese gave me the chance to lower (I used the GT3 spec) the car and corner balance it (don't forget to add your weight using sandbags or barbell weights in the drivers seat while you do it). Then a quick tweak at the alignment shop (including adding as much camber as a non-GT3 will allow - usually about 1.25 degree) and you're GTG.
