Default Pay It Forward

I've clearly benefited from this forum and I'd like to give back in my own small way. So here's a seed item to get this started from my parts inventory. Hope it will benefit someone else.

Free Porsche Part: to anyone who needs it... One(1) used but previously functional ignition coil, Porsche p/n 997.602.102.00, from my '08 C2S(997.1) when it had 46K miles on it. I swapped my coils out during my spark plug DIY last year as part of preventative maintenance. Upon inspection of the old coils they looked really good... no cracks and newer then I thought they would appear. But since I had her open with a set of new coils on hand I went ahead and swapped these older coils out. I've found that old but functional parts like these are useful for troubleshooting and I like to keep one hand in the emergency car kit(along with an old s-belt, some tools, etc) JIC I'm stuck far far away from home with no p-dealer in sight for 100's of miles. One spare coil even with the local non p-car mechanic would get you back on the road within hours vs. days waiting for the part to come in. I will pay shipping anywhere in CONUS a USPS flat-rate box will go. You pay if it's outside CONUS and I'd rather not deal with customs if at all possible.

Disclaimer: this was a functional ignition coil from my car a year ago. I have not tested it recently so I take no liabilities as to it's current function, fit and/or form for your car. Use at your own risk. Remember it's free...

How does this work: Claim the coil by posting on this thread (no PM or email) and offering something else p-car related with similar requirements. It can be anything... p-car mouse pad, lanyards, posters, spare old s-belt, extra parts you have laying around which might be useful to others. State clearly on your post whether you'll pay for the shipping cost or make some other arrangement such as the recipient pays for shipping, 50/50 split, etc. PM the 1st person who posts an "I'll take it" for shipping info and then arrange for shipment of the item...

Let's keep this going.

What a great idea. I'll have to check what I have to pass on.
