My S2000 has found a new home in South Carolina.

After window-shopping for months, the search for a 997.2 cab begins in earnest!

Good luck with your search and remember to have fun. You may want to post color & options your looking for in your dream car. There seems to be lots of people here who may be able to help with your search. You may even be able to buy from a fellow rennlister.

Yep, I've seen that ad on this forum. It's a beautiful and well-equipped car but priced well above the point where my budget would allow what the seller would consider a "reasonable offer".

I'll be in the sixties when it's all said and done. There're lots of '09s out there (some even CPO'd) that could fit the bill.

Must haves are:
Cabriolet
Can be either 6 speed or PDK

Like to haves are:
S
Sport Chrono+ (if PDK)
Nav
Bose with audio interface

Right out:
Red
Yellow
Black
Terra Cotta interior

Although I've been looking for months, this search still may take quite awhile. There's not a particular car that floats my boat--it's more the total package.

Still, I'm excited to be seriously looking now.

Good luck. I purposely did not sell my Z4 until I got a new cab. Without a ragtop in the driveway I would not have the mental fortitude to wait for the right one to come along.

I told my wife I wouldn't buy a P-car until I sold the S2000. Our fleet was reaching critical mass and she knew all too well that if I didn't sell the Honda first, I would buy the 997 and then make up some excuse for keeping the Honda.

I never considered a black or red car but, as life throws things at you, I'm looking at a stealthy 2009 black on black full leather with adaptive seats C4S cab with 6150 miles (owned by a Dr. living downtown) and a new 'arrest me' guards red over black alcantara C4 GTS cab.
The red is growing on me but the black, when I first saw it look so good I got chills! Crazy ****, heh? Anyways, good luck with your hunt. I'm at the point where I need to pull 'a' trigger, clear out the iPad of pics and pdfs and get off of this crazy ride.

Don't get me wrong, I think that black is possibly the best looking color out there. When it's freshly detailed, it can be stunning on the right car. It's just that this will be my primary driver and it won't always be clean. As I get older, I have begun to appreciate the automotive colors that don't show dirt as much.

GL with the search. BTW, you have the same out list I had when I began my search in 2010... But the properly packaged car caused me to reconsider the out list and the test drive just plain won me over. Be forewarned... don't ever test drive Guards Red cause it might just win you over like it did me... and I'm loving it.

Good luck! I got a 997.1 and still can't get myself to sell my AP2. Still would rather drive the AP2 around town and on the back roads for the fun factor.

After missing out on an '09 Targa 4S that was for sale for all of 2 days, I vowed to pull the trigger a little faster the next time.

Made an offer on an '09 C2 cab that's loaded to the hilt with options. They accepted, waiting on DME and some detail pics. Going to pick up sometime next week. I'll post photos if the deal goes through.
