question about sound of GT3RS
Hey guys..
This saturday I was the cars & coffee meet here in Charlotte and I saw a few 997s out there.. most of them seem to be bone stock. A big variety was out there from C2S, C4S, TT, and even a GT3RS.
When it was time to leave I heard all of them take off and they sounded pretty quiet so Im sure they all had stock exhaust. But when the guy in that GT3RS took off it sound amazing!
I know that GT3RS is a completly different beast but my question is... could a regualr C2S or C4S sound close to that with an aftermarket exhaust or the famus Gundo Hack?..

I haven't read anything about deleting the side mufflers to only use the center section... is that a complicated/ expensive mod?.. .Gt3 Racer RS.... can you you provide some info on this since you recently did it?
I been reading from people here that they love the Gundo Hack sound... I have researched it but is hard to judge "sound" from youtube videos. Does the Gundo hack increase the sound drastically or is it just a bit louder than bone stock?... I wonder how close it is to the sound of the GT3RS that I heard?

Basically, no! You could definitely improve Carrera exhaust to sound better, but you simply can't replace the sound of that engine in GT3/GT3RS, totally different beast.
When I was at Nurburgring, when those cars passed me at 150 MPH, they sounded absolutely like a racecar!

Good Lord...I love this car. What I wouldn't give to have a day with this thing somewhere in Europe. It couldn't get any better.
