I guess it's hard to convey in photos, but it's a really solid piece of gear.

It's strictly for storage - not intending to work on more than winter/summer wheel swaps and some detailing...

Thanks everyone. My ceiling is 14.5' - it's unusually tall inside.

Chris awesome...gotta share it with my guys! Also I am somewhat jealous as I wanted to do the same with my old house in Bowie but the ceilings I think were too low as you can see kinda in this old pic.

But ah IF you move to Cali...I'll take your garage thank you very much! Oh and either the lift or the 997 too! LOL

Cool. I'm with others - haven't seen a lift like that before. Not sure I could sleep with a car up on that...

How fast does it raise a car from ground to "full up"?

+1 Also, what is the rough cost of a lift of this type.

Chris, awesome job!!! It looks great, especially the Gulf stripe.

Thanks everyone. The lift is VERY secure. VERY secure. Basically it's a big mechanical lock once it goes past the cam point. Drop the hydraulics and it's set. From the ground to locked takes about 1 minute. Literally. Coming down is about 20 seconds, but that's only so I don't smack the hell out of the floor. It's really very simple. It's made by Harding Steel if anyone is interested - they have videos, etc. on their site.

The lift MSRP was $11K. I didn't pay that much. I believe installation is included in the price.

Google is your friend.

Thanks for the compliments - I'm waiting on my HREs to come in to replace the Turbos.

That's awesome, really dig the Gulf theme. Makes me want to repaint my garage now.

How did you figure out which colors would match that specific blue and orange?

Very cool and tastefully done. You're fortunate to have such high ceilings.

The lift reminds me of ED209 from the Robocop movie.
